Julian's Way: A Contemplative Study Group A community that meets weekly Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the library of St. John's Episcopal Church, Corner of 5th and C Streets, Petaluma. We gather for Lectio Divina and meditation on the wisdom literature of the ages. Our current text is the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas , a collection of sayings which may predate the other gospels of the New Testament and was rediscovered in Nag Hamadi , Egypt in 1945 - revealing a startling new view of Jesus that is deeply psychological and almost Eastern in its perspective. Newcomers of all traditions always welcome. |
