Taize Labyrinth Services

Since ancient times, the labyrinth has been used as a
tool of sacred practice- a way to center the mind,
connect to the spirit and reflect upon life. We walk a
copy of the Chartres Labryinth to candlelit
contemplative chant and silent prayer in the tradition of
the community of Taize, France, accompanied by
piano and cello- open to all faiths.

First Friday Taize services at
St. John's Episcopal,
40 Fifth Street, Petaluma

Our next service is Friday, February 3 at 7 pm

Julian's Way: A Contemplative Study Group

A community that meets weekly Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the library of St. John's
Episcopal Church, Corner of 5th and C Streets, Petaluma. We gather for Lectio
Divina and meditation on the wisdom literature of the ages. Our current text is the
Gnostic
Gospel of Thomas , a collection of sayings which may predate the other
gospels of the New Testament and was rediscovered in Nag Hamadi , Egypt in 1945
- revealing a startling new view of Jesus that is deeply psychological and almost
Eastern in its perspective. Newcomers of all traditions always welcome.
